Inspired by a lush garden of waterlillies, I knew I could create a piece full of color and texture & I think this piece captures the essence of it perfectly...
a large waterlily leaf was cut from thick copper, hammered to have the edges curl up slightly & then given the most gorgeous coloring of green enamel.  I do not do enameling anymore (the base was made several years ago), so this is a one of a kind piece in my shop.  The lotus flower resting on the edge of the leaf was all handcut from aluminum- a great metal, as it shouldn't ever tarnish or need polishing.  It has 4 layers, a larger set of petals, a smaller set inside of that & then one pink agate stone to add a little color & to offset the green.  
The necklace wire is a coated cable.  It closes with a magnetic clasp. The wire measures 18".  I can also replace it with a super delicate sterling silver chain for no extra charge.  Longer, fancier chains are available for an extra charge (message me to customize)
The leaf measures about 2" (just over 5cm).
