Mercury Dime Necklace

A real rare vintage mercury dime (90% silver) has been hammered into a dome, then a silver loop was soldered on, allowing it to slide securely on a 16" sterling silver chain. The clasp is a handmade hook and eye. The dime has a patina and has been brushed to highlight the markings. The date is still clearly identifiable (may not be a 1939). Other dates I can do are 1934, 1935, & 1936. The mercury dime coins were only printed until 1945.
