Mokume Dot Ring

A simple ring featuring a truly unique topper.
A 5/16" (8mm) disc is pierced from Mokume metal* and domed into a light cup. It sits in a sterling silver round band custom made to fit you. Simple but really a gorgeous example of metalwork.

*In Japanese, Mokume-gane means "wood grain metal". Alternating layers of metal are melted together, then carved to reveal the layers. The metal is then pressed very flat to show off each layer that has been carved through. The mokume I use features beautiful random swirls of sterling silver & copper.
